What determines the shipping price?
Three things: parcel weight, its dimensions and the shipping line. Carriers charge by the greater of the actual weight or the volumetric weight, which grows for large, light parcels.
How to cut parcel costs
- Consolidate — one parcel with five items costs far less than five separate ones.
- Remove boxes — shoe boxes often add 300–500 g and lots of volume.
- Ask for compression / vacuum packing for clothes, if the warehouse offers it.

VAT and customs when importing from China
